Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The book titled “Azerbaijani Theatre Studies: A Bibliographic Index,” prepared by the Department of Theatre, Cinema and Television of the Institute of Architecture and Art of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), has been published.

The book was compiled by the Head of the Department, Associate Professor Vidadi Gafarov, PhD in Art Studies, and Senior Researcher of the department, Malahat Aghayeva, PhD in Art Studies.

Aiming to bring together the rich heritage of Azerbaijani theatre studies in a single source and to present its bibliographic landscape, the book includes bibliographic indexes not only of theatre scholars, but also of works written by various authors on theatre, dramaturgy, and prominent artists.

The book also features bibliographic information on dissertations defended in the humanities, the subject of which relates to theatre and dramaturgy, as well as works by foreign authors translated into Azerbaijani.

The publication is intended for specialists engaged in theatre and dramaturgy, as well as students, master’s and doctoral candidates studying in relevant fields.
