Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), Academician Isa Habibbeyli, met with Dr. Faiza Bashir, Head of the Department of Library and Information Science at the Higher Education Department, Government of Punjab, and Dr. Almas Khanum, Associate Professor at the Department of Urdu, Faculty of Languages, Islamic and Oriental Learning, Government College University Lahore.

During the meeting, held at the Presidium of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli emphasized that joint scientific research, as well as international conferences, seminars, and other academic events organized between Azerbaijan and the friendly and brotherly Islamic Republic of Pakistan, make a significant contribution to further strengthening the existing scientific cooperation between the two countries.

The President of ANAS also noted that scientific cooperation with Government College University Lahore has been developing consistently and expressed confidence that the new joint encyclopedic project entitled “Azerbaijani Poets (From Ancient Times to the Present Day)” would produce valuable outcomes for the academic communities of both countries.

The Pakistani scholars, Dr. Faiza Bashir and Dr. Almas Khanum, noted that joint research projects, reciprocal exchange of experience, and academic cooperation between ANAS and Government College University Lahore would continue to make an important contribution to strengthening the scientific potential of both countries.

As part of their visit, the Pakistani scholars also visited the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS. They became acquainted with the activities of the Pakistan Literature Centre operating at the Institute and received detailed information about the research conducted there.
