ANAS Institute of Law and Human Rights held a presentation of the e-book "Code of laws for the privileged inmates" on June 8.

The event was attended by representatives of international organizations, representatives of NGOs and mass media.

Chairman of Public Association "International Society for Persons with Disabilities" Tahir Khudiyev said that, the book reflected the laws on the rights of prisoners and preferred International penitentiary rules.

According to him, the publication aims to achieve the solution of social problems of privileged prisoners and their families, as well as public support for the protection of human rights and freedoms.

It was noted that, the book is published within the project "Protection of the rights and freedoms of the privileged prisoners and their families", implemented by the Public Association "International Society for Persons with Disabilities" and the Council of State Support to NGOs under AR President.

The main essence of this project, carried out regularly since 2011 at correctional institutions of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice is to promote the adaptation and rehabilitation of prisoners, beginning in penitentiaries, through the provision of public support for the protection of the rights of the privileged prisoners and their families.

Speakers at a ceremony spoke about value of the book, have considered reasonable the organization of educational works and consulting services in the direction of protection of the rights and freedoms of exclusive prisoners and members of their families.
