Institute of Caucasus Studies held "Round table" devoted the 25th anniversary of restoration of Azerbaijan's state independence

Institute of Caucasus Studies held "Round table" devoted the 25th anniversary of restoration of Azerbaijan's state independence.

At the event, Director of Institute, Professor Musa Gasimli said that, Azerbaijan has overcome a difficult path to independence. Stressing that, the restoration of state independence is a great historic event, Director of Institute told about the importance of the Order of President Ilham Aliyev "On the twenty-fifth anniversary of the restoration of state independence of Azerbaijan Republic" dated October 11, 2016. Professor M.Gasimli emphasized that, in the early 1990s, there were many events that prevent the state independence, but the Azerbaijani people could cope with these difficulties.

After returning of the national leader Heydar Aliyev to political power, Azerbaijan embarked on the path of rapid development in all directions, in many areas, were signed contracts with foreign countries. As a result of a deliberate policy pursued by the great leader, Azerbaijan has taken a worthy place in the international arena. Grandiose work and projects initiated by the national leader Heydar Aliyev in the development of our country, today successfully continued by his worthy successor President Ilham Aliyev.

Acted at the meeting, Deputy Director of the Institute for Science, PhD in Philosophy Rahil Najafov, Head of the Department of Caucasus policy, PhD on History Ramila Dadasheva, head of Department of Armenology, PhD in History Ziyad Amrahov and others spoke about the successes, won in years of Azerbaijan's independence and noted that, today Azerbaijan has become a reliable partner of influential political and economic centers of the world.
