Director of Institute of Genetic Resources of ANAS, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Zaynal Akperov received a member of the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank.

The purpose of the meeting was a meeting with scientists to select plant resources displayed on the world market. Z.Akperov gave detailed information on the development of plant genetic resources, as well as experience and research institute in the direction of creating new plant varieties with high productivity and quality. During a meeting were discussions on an occasion of fruit and the vegetables, differing by high efficiency. The first plant which is planned to enter in the list is pomegranate which differs numerous useful functions and can be stored during the long period of time. Note that the plants entering the list of the World Bank are determined by two criteria, the real, last and future potential indicators of a plant and investment level are taken as a basis. The meeting was also attended by head of the department “Fruit plants” Institute, PhD in biology Dilshad Bayramova and head of the Laboratory “Subtropical plants”, PhD in agricultural sciences Mirza Mousa.
