French University of Haute Alsace expands cooperation with the Institute of Folklore

Mulhouse city French University of Haute Alsace cooperates via Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Baku International Center of Multiculturalism under Azerbaijani President as well as several scientific institutions in Azerbaijan. A positive outcome of this collaboration is the creation of the University of Haute Alsace, Department of Literature and Culture named after Nizami Ganjavi and interior Mehseti.

Note that at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Haute Alsace is taught the Azerbaijani language and literature, hosted a variety of workshops in the framework of the Azerbaijani-French scientific and cultural ties.

The University also maintains close cooperation with the Institute of Folklore of ANAS.

On 5-6 December 2016, scientists of Azerbaijan were attended at the symposium of University of Haute Alsace on "Multiculturalism, internationalism and national values: the example of the peoples of the Caucasus.” The symposium was attended by scientists and experts from 11 countries.

The event was attended by the Ambassador of our country to France Elchin Amirbayov, as well as representatives of the Baku International Center of Multiculturalism, Ganja State University and Institute of Folklore of ANAS.

At the symposium, the Director of Folklore Institute, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Mukhtar Kazimoghlu spoke on "The motive of the struggle with the angel of death in the epos" Kitabi-Dede Gorgud ", chief of Education department of the Institute, PhD in Philology Afag Hurremgizi - "Lahij in Azerbaijan and multiculturalism", chief department for External Relations, Ali Shamil - "From the history of the studying Kitabi-Dede Gorgud in Azerbaijan", etc.
