The deputy director for scientific affairs of Institute of Genetic resources of ANAS, PhD in biology Mekhradzh Abbasov completed a training course on researches on the subject “Assessment of Risks of the Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) and Biosafety” in Moldova. The course was organized by Norwegian “The center of ecological genetics” in Kishinev, by “The third world network” of Malaysia and by the Ministry of ecology of Moldova. On courses M. Abbasov made the report on “An assessment of risks of genetically modified organisms and biosafety”, gave information on the law existing in Azerbaijan in the field of GMO and about work GMO definition at Institute of the genetic resources of ANAS. M. Abbasov having successfully ended a course, he was awarded by the certificate.
