At the meeting of Presidium of ANAS the report on scientific and scientific-organizational activity of Nakhchivan Branch for the 2013th year was heard.Chairman of the Branch academician Ismail Hajiyev made the report. I. Hajiyev told about activity of research institutions of the Department which are engaged in studying stories, cultures, Nakhchyvan's natural resources in the 6 scientific directions, 34 works and 95 which stages were included in the 7 subjects. He reported about the 10 important scientific results received in reporting year. In the 2013 the 6 books, 23 monographs, 2 methodical grants, 507 scientific articles and 538 scientific works of staff of employees of Nakhchivan Branch were published. From all published scientific works 3 monographs, 1 book, 129 articles and a material of conference were published abroad. From them 2 articles are published in the journals with impact factor, links on 23 scientific works are registered. 4 issues of issues of the journal “Xəbərlər” consisting of series of humanitarian, social, natural and technical science were published. In the 2013 from the Division staff, doctor of chemical sciences B.Rzaev, Ph.D. in chemistry A.Garayev and PhD in physical and mathematical sciences M.Guseynaliev received 3 patents. At Grant projects competition of Science Development Fund under the President of AR the Grant projects “Kultepe I and his research”, the Collection, research and the publication of the Nakhchivan folklore” and “Equipment Babatabat Astrophysical Observatory by photometric devices” were declared by winners. In reporting year in the in Nakhchivan Branch of ANAS 12 meetings, 38 seminars 30 conferences and actions were held. In 2013 under the Decree of the President of the country on 10 December of 2013 the chairman of Department was appointed a member of the Commission on State Prizes AP. Academician I.Hajiyev, Corresponding Member and Professor T.Talybov F.Safarli in connection with the 90th birthday anniversary of Heydar Aliyev was awarded the “Gold Medal” of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic. In connection with the announcement of 2013 year “Year of information and communication technologies” in the country the Plan of measures in Nakhchivan Branch of ANAS was approved. The ameanb.nakhchivan.az Internet portal was updated, the electronic library with the address e-kitab.ameanb.nmr.az is created, works on placement in virtual space of scientific materials about culture and national property are carried out and the Electronic Library is put in operation. In reporting year in electronic library of Department 1654 printed materials arrived. From them 602 books which were published in Latin under the Decree of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic. Report on the scientific and organizational activity of ANAS Nakhchivan Branch in 2013 after discussions on the decision of the Presidium of ANAS was approved and included in the annual report of ANAS. Expansion of scientific communications between Nakhchivan Branch and other scientific and educational institutions and carrying out joint research works, strengthening of scientific communications of Department of Foreign Countries was recommended.
