More than 170 young scientists and researchers from Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Italy, Kazakhstan, the United States of America, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Switzerland and other countries are represented at the conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the February 1917 revolution.
The thesis "Administrative and territorial structure of Nakhchivan in the 1920s" (historical and geographical study) was presented by the scientific employee of the Department of Modern and Contemporary History of the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnography of the Nakhchivan Branch of ANAS Elnur Kelbizade.
It should be noted that the material presented by our compatriot gives information on the administrative-territorial structure, borders, and settlements of the Nakhchivan USSR in the 20s of the XX century. Currently, in accordance with archival materials and historical documents, information is given that Nakhchivan in 1921 covered a vast territory, and numerous villages located today in the territory of Armenia were at that time part of the Nakhchivan Autonomy.
