Presentation ceremony of first volume of “Nakhchivan’s History” multivolume was held at Nakhchivan Department of ANAS.

Opening the presentation, the chairman of the department, academician Ismail Hajiyev spoke about work done in preparation of the first volume and about the future issues. He noted that, this volume was created thanks to an intense and fruitful activity and covers the period from ancient times to the 40th of eighteenth century of Nakhchivan. More than 500 sources and literatures were used in the publication consisting of 7 chapters, history and political chronology of this period of Nakhchivan was created. Nearly 20 maps, 100 artifacts, inscriptions, and more than 60 photographs of historical monuments included to the publication.
