Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

National Museum of Azerbaijan History held the opening ceremony of the club "Young museum experts and museum lovers".

Speaking at the ceremony, the museum's director, Academician Naila Velihanli said that, the main goal of the club is to transfer information about museums that are the custodians of the monuments of material culture to the youth. Noting that, a significant increase in the modern society of the social role of museums makes them an active participant in cultural processes in the world.

The scientist stressed that, the museum faces such important tasks as providing them with qualified personnel and bringing the museum business in line with world standards in our country.

Then, speaking out, the author of the idea of the club and the project manager, researcher of the Department for External Relations and Scientific-Mass Work Sahiba Alakbarova informed the participants about the classes that are planned to be held at the club.

At the event, head of the Department of Museum Studies of the Azerbaijan University of Culture and Arts, Associate Professor Yeghana Eyvazova and Associate Professor Elfira Malikova-Gurbanova spoke about the significance of the new club.

In conclusion, the members of the club were given certificates.
