“Stratigraphy of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic” monograph is preparing for publication at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of ANAS. The authors of the edition - head of Geotectonics and Regional Geology Department, corresponding member of ANAS Talat Kangarli, head of Paleontology and Stratigraphy Department, Dr. Geology-Mineralogy Shikhali Babayev and Dr. Geology-Mineralogy Aydin Mammadov.

The system and stages of Paleozoic, Mesozoic and Cenozoic eras on the territory of Nakhchivan are described in accordance with the stratigraphic schedule, as well as description of local stratigraphic units, which were allocated as a result of scientific-thematic and geological-planning works of various years and their faunistic characterization is carried out in the collection.

The edition for the first time elucidating stratigraphy of Nakhchivan in Azerbaijani is a useful database for relevant specialists working in the research institutes and enterprises, and can be used in further studies to be held in the region. The book is beneficial for graduate and undergraduates of geology faculty of higher schools as a manual.

The wide outline in English, which is given at the end of edition, makes chance for global geological public to be acquainted with local stratigraphic distribution of Nakhchivan’s territory and matching with stratigraphic distribution of surrounding regions.
