Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

One of the issues discussed at the meeting of the Presidium of ANAS was the current state of “The Heydar Aliyev Encyclopedia” prepared by “Azerbaijan National Encyclopedia” Scientific Center.

The President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, said that within the framework of the “Year of Heydar Aliyev”, and as part of the Action Plan of ANAS, “The Heydar Aliyev Encyclopedia” is prepared at the “Azerbaijan National Encyclopedia” Scientific Center. He noted that during the meeting of the Presidium of ANAS, the dictionary of “The Heydar Aliyev Encyclopedia” was discussed and approved, and the process of preparing the articles has begun.

Then, Rustam Hajiyev, an employee of the “Azerbaijan National Encyclopedia” Scientific Center, delivered a speech, providing information about the works done for preparation of “The Heydar Aliyev Encyclopedia”. He emphasized that the process of preparing the articles for the Encyclopedia is progressing rapidly, with information being gathered from relevant state agencies and added that after the articles are prepared, they will be sent to the appropriate institutes for each field, and their feedback will also be taken into account. R. Hajiyev underlined that “The Heydar Aliyev Encyclopedia” will be fully completed in 2025. 

In connection with the matter, Academician Rasim Aliguliyev delivered a speech, proposing that the electronic version of the volumes of the Azerbaijan National Encyclopedia be made available on the internet.

Then, Academician Govhar Bakhshaliyeva and Professor Karim Shukurov also delivered speeches, sharing their thoughts and suggestions.

Academician Isa Habibbeyli gave his instructions for the high-quality preparation and publication of the Encyclopedia.
