Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On June 8, 2017, Honored Scientist, corresponding member of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Baku State University, Head of Department, Professor Firudin Ibrahim oglu Mammadov, died at the age of 81.

F. Mammadov, on July 1, 1936, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Nakhichevan was born in Shahtakhti. After graduating from high school, the Azerbaijan Industrial Institute in 1953 and 1958 oil maxanika entered high school in automation, telematics, electrical measuring devices and appliances graduated.

He worked from 1961 until 1964, the institute continued his doctoral studies and defended his dissertation in 1967 and received the degree of candidate of technical sciences. Since 1968 the fate of the Azerbaijan Oil and Chemistry institute - the Sumgait State University in 1968. In 1974 F. Mammadov- senior lecturer, associate professor, dean was, since 1974, the industrial technical appliances, power supply and electrical equipment, electrical and electromechanical departments and professor and head of department.

F.Mammadov, defendend the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences in 1993 and received the title of professor in 1995. He is majoring in computer science in 2001 and was elected a corresponding member of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

Professor Firudin Mammadov has served the development of science and energy. His main areas of scientific activity for a long period, covering different technological processes of information-measuring systems, multi-dimensional transmitters were studying. The important results from fundamental research scientist appreciated professionals.

F. Mammadov harmoniously coordinated teaching and research activities are always a number of higher education institutions participated in the training of highly qualified personnel. It is a prestigious international scientific symposium, forums and conferences outside the country with performances represented Azerbaijan science.

F. Mammadov, Azerbaijan and abroad, published more than 250 scientific publications, 10 textbooks and monographs and more than 30 inventions.

Senior scientist, educator and sincere person from Firudin Mammadov's memory will always live in the hearts of those who knew him.
