Vice-president of ANAS, Academic Isa Habibbeyli met with the delegation headed by the director of the Institute of Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Professor Pei Chankong.

Welcoming the guests, Academic Isa Habibbayli noted that the existing cooperation between the People's Republic of China and our country is developing at a high level. Reminding the speech of the national leader Heydar Aliyev in 1994 at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the scientist noted that it was then that the foundation of the ties between the two countries was laid.

Having said that the speech of the great leader Heydar Aliyev at the Academy of Social Sciences determined the strategy of our scientific relations, Vice-President of ANAS recalled the international conference dedicated to the restoration of the "Historical Silk Road", organized for the first time on the initiative of the national leader. The scientist assessed the existing links of ANAS as part of cooperation with the countries of the Silk Road.

Expressing satisfaction with his stay at the academy, Chinese professor Pei Chankong noted that due to this meeting priority direction of ties in the field of economic science will be determined, and existing problems in various scientific directions will be explored.

Speaking about the economic situation of his country, Professor P. Chankong spoke about the current development of the Chinese economy and the ongoing economic projects. He noted that China is interested in developing economic ties and expanding cooperation not only with neighboring countries, but with Azerbaijan.
