Institute of Additive Chemistry (IAC) of ANAS started research jointly with the world's leading scientific institutions for development of pharmaceutical industry of the Republic.

Researches is being conducted under the title "New approaches to the synthesis and research of physiologically active substances" together with scientists from Florence University of Italy, Ataturk University of Turkey, University of King Saud of Saudi Arabia, director of the institute, academician Vagif Farzaliyev noted. The substances synthesized at IAC are sent to Turkey and Italy. There, the antioxidant and enzymatic effects of these substances are studied step by step. Preliminary test results are positive. He said that the substances obtained by scientists have a high inhibitory effect on the negative processes leading to malignant tumors. Thus, the effect of these substances is 10 times greater in comparison with the drugs tocopherol and alpha-trolox, used as standard drugs in these diseases, scientist underlined.

Since the results drew the attention of the scientists of the Bimolecular Institute of the National Research Council of Italy (NRC), joint research and clinical trials of new drugs will be carried out with the scientists of the Institute of Additive Chemistry.

It should be noted that the scientists of the Institute has already sent a project proposal to the contest announced for 2018-2019 under the Joint Program on Scientific Cooperation Agreement between ANAS and NRC.
