ANAS Institute of Chemical Additives named after acad. A.M.Guliyev has commenced researches directed to recycling of used lubricating oils which leads to environmental stress. According to the director of the institute acad. Vagif Farzaliyev, one of the key challenges of modern petrochemical science is to reduce environmental stress as much as possible. From this point of view on the one hand, it is necessary to extend quality of lubricants by additives in order to improve their functioning, on the other hand the used oils to be recovered and reused.

In order to provide the re-use of oils, the institute has developed a new method of regenerating, also analogue of additive composition and commodity oil based on the extracted products was established, noted the academician.

V. Farzaliyev said that, pursuant to the partnership agreement between UNESCO and the leading industrial enterprise of Russia, “PhosAgro”, the mentioned organizations and IUPAC announced the scholarship program for young scientists working in the field of “green chemistry”.
