Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Tofig Mammadov, director of the Institute of Dendrology of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, correspondent member of ANAS, as well as employees of Herbari and Seed Laboratory of the Institute visited the expedition in Tovuz region.

Scientists conducted research on the preparation of the fourth volume of Azerbaijani dendrophilous from July 31 to August 4 and studied the dendrophilo of Asrik valley of Tovuz region.

According to thematic plan, a detailed monitoring of the dendrophilo of Asrik carried out, the vegetation of these areas was investigated on a scientific basis and the dendrology of natural trees and shrubs was analyzed. Additionally, 500 herbarium samples of 170 species of trees and shrubs of the Asrik were.
