ClimateLaunchpad 2017, the world's largest Green Idea Business Contest, was held with the main partnership of the ANAS High Technology Park. ClimateLaunchpad 2017 winners were announced at the event.

13 startup teams participating in ClimateLaunchpad contest, which Azerbaijan joined for the first time, fought for the final. The three teams won the right to represent our country at the international final in Cyprus, on 17-18 October, in Limassol, Cyprus. Winners of the award ceremony were awarded in various nominations.

The "Social Innovation Lab" is the official partner of the ClimateLaunchpad program, which has been around for the 4th time in the world. The "golden sponsor" of the program to improve the startup ecosystem in Azerbaijan is the main partner of ANAS High Technology Park. From the moment of its establishment, ANAS has been supporting projects in the field of innovative technological innovations in the world, commercialization of innovative initiatives. The ClimateLaunchpad competition, aimed at improving the startup ecosystem in Azerbaijan, serves to promote the idea of environmental protection and development. The teams participating in the competition have explored ways to translate entrepreneurial ideas into product, commercialize the product, bring it to the global market, and apply important business knowledge to projects.

This year, 37 countries are participating in the competition, organized by the Union of Innovations and Technology, funded by the European Union.

At the World Cup, three teams from each participating country will have a presentation in front of leading European investors and entrepreneurs. Azerbaijan will be represented by three startup projects from 14 startup teams to the final. The owners of the first place in the world finals will be awarded 10 thousand, the owners of the 2nd place will be awarded 5 thousand and 3rd place owners will receive 2 thousand 500 Euros. Additionally, the startup project, which takes the top 10 places in the world finals, will be admitted to the 18-month "Climate-KIC Accelerator" program, where smaller ideas are turned into big businesses. Each project is financed at 95,000 euros in three stages. International Platform Climate-KIC, an intensive business school and entrepreneurial group, was established in 2010 by the European Union Institute for Innovation and Technology.
