Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

An international conference on "From innovative Ideas to successful business: Promoting National Systems for Early Stage Financing of Innovative Companies in Eastern Partnership Countries" was held in Minsk, Belarus.

The aim of the conference was to identify the start-ups, problems young entrepreneurs face at an early stage in the Eastern Partnership countries and eliminate them using experience of EU member-states.

At the conference organized by the European Commission, Azerbaijan was represented by employees of ANAS High Technologies Park.

Presentations were made on "Small and Medium Enterprises and Innovation in Transition Economy", "Obstacles in the National Context: Early Financing of Innovative Enterprises", "Supporting Business and Innovation", "Using EU Instruments to Support Small and Medium Enterprise Development in Eastern Partnership Countries".

After the conference, Azerbaijani delegation met with the coordinator of the Eastern Partnership PLUS (EaP PLUS) project, George Bonas. The meeting focused on cooperation of opportunities within the framework of the Science-Education-Business Partnership Platform, the European mentors support programs and exchange of experiences.
