Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The international seminar on “Training in Network Management Systems and Analytical Tools for Seismology” will be held on October 23-27, 2017 in Baku.

The seminar will be held by the support of Republican Seismic Survey Center of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Ukraine Science and Technology Center (USTC), Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) and US Department of Energy. Seismologists and experts from more than 20 countries are expected to attend the event.

The seminar will focus on IRIS Data Management Tools, ObsPy (Phyton Toolbox for Seismology), SeisComp3 (Data Acquisition and Processing Tool),ILoc (Event location Tool). Please be informed that IRIS is a consortium of more than 120 US universities. The main headquarter is located in the state of Delaware, Washington. The IRIS has three main activty directions. Instrumentation Services, Data Services, and Education & Public Outreach.Various research programs are used for each area. The main missions of IRIS are to facilitate investigations of seismic sources and Earth properties using seismic and other geophysical methods. The IRIS has 250 members and affiliates all over the world. RSSC ANAS is the member of Organization.
