Representatives of the famous Rothschild family - Andy, Barbara, Charlotte, Barbara, Tibor, Dagmar and Atticus Rothschild - visited ANAS Institute of Manuscripts after Muhammad Fizuli.

At the meeting, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Humanitarian Sciences, Director of the Institute, Academician Teymur Kerimli told the guests about the history of the establishment of the institution, directions of activities, achieved successes and features of collecting and restoring manuscripts stored here.

Then, Deputy Director of the Institute for Scientific Work, Doctor of Philology, Aybeniz Aliyeva-Kangarli, spoke about the work carried out in the direction of electronisation of manuscripts.

Then, guests got acquainted with the exhibits displayed in the Exhibition Hall of the Institute, including a hand-written copy of Nizami Ganjavi's poem "Khosrov and Shirin" on the Ibra alphabet, unique illustrations called "The Bible" and "Musa Cows Sheep" in Persian.

At the end of the meeting, guests donated the electronic versions of a number of manuscripts on the Ibri alphabet.
