Correspondent of ANAS Bilal Bilalov is 55th

On January 2, prominent mathematician, head of the Department of Non-Harmonic analysis of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, corresponding member of ANAS Bilal Bilalov is 55th.

Bilal Bilalov was born on January 2, 1963 in the village of Farahli, Gazakh region. In 1986 he graduated from the Faculty of Applied Mathematics of Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov (Moscow State University). In 1986-1989 he was a full-time post-graduate student of Moscow State University, under the guidance of Academician Yu.I.Moiseyev defended his thesis on "Completeness and basicity of some special systems of functions".

In 1990-1993 he worked as an assistant at the Institute of Technology of Azerbaijan. In 1996 he defended his doctoral thesis on "Basic properties of systems of Eigen functions of certain differential operators and their generalizations". In 1996-2001 he worked as a senior researcher, chief research officer at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS. Since 2001 - head of the department of nonharmonic analysis of the same institute. In 2009 he was awarded the academic title of professor, and in 2014 was elected a corresponding member of ANAS.

The main spheres of B.Bilalov's activity are approximation, basis, frame, fuzzy, spectral theory of operators, boundary problems for analytic functions and mathematical methods of recognition. In these areas, scientists have achieved many important results.

He is the author of 3 monographs and more than 200 scientific articles. The articles of the scientist are published in the journals included in the databases "Proceedings of the American Mathematical Society", "Complex Analysis and Operator Theory", "Journal of Function Spaces and Applications", "Mathematical Notes" and "Thomson Reuters".

Under the direction of B.Bilalov, 15 doctors of philosophy were trained.

For his scientific achievements he was awarded with the Certificate of Honor of ANAS in 2013.

The scientist is a member of the Board of the Mathematical Society of Azerbaijan, the Terminological Commission under the Cabinet of Ministers, and the reviewer of the Foundation for the Development of Science under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
