A meeting with the staff of the newspaper "Azerbaijan" was held in the Central Scientific Library of ANAS.

The goal was to make the CSL press-center enrichment to a tradition, to ensure that this process is publicized by a leading media body, as well as to discuss cooperation issues.

Director of the CSL, PhD in medical sciences Leyla Imanova spoke about the activities of the library, its strategic goals, including the results and achievements of the year 2017.

At the same time, she noted that the Diplomatic Fund of 20 foreign countries was established in the CSL, about 40 countries and more than 50 international organizations were exchanged books.

Reminding the agreement reached in 2017 between the leadership of ANAS and the Press Council, L. Imanova said that the process of entering electronic copies of the leading Azerbaijani press to the database of the National Digital Memory of the Central Library has started. The director of the CSL noted that the first initiative in this connection came from the newspaper "Yeni Azerbaijan", and highly appreciated the desire of the newspaper "Azerbaijan" to join this process.

Then the editor-in-chief of the newspaper, MP Bakhtiyar Sadigov spoke about the rich and glorious history of the newspaper "Azerbaijan" and its development path. B. Sadigov highly appreciated the work done to preserve the resources in the CSL and presented the "Azerbaijan" newspaper's 2003-2016 publications to the library in PDF and print format (31 volumes).

Later CSL and "Azerbaijan" signed an agreement on the protection of copyright and development of cooperation.
