Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Today, the next meeting of the Department of Chemical Sciences of ANAS was held. Speaking at the meeting, academician-secretary of ANAS, academician Rasim Alguliev spoke about the security measures implementing recently in the country. Ensuring security in all spheres of public life is one of the issues President Ilham Aliyev has always placed in the spotlight, scientist underlined.

In recent years Azerbaijan has gained significant achievements in ensuring food security, improving the quality of food products and increasing export potential, R. Alguliyev noted. He underlined the importance of the measures taken by the head of state to improve the food safety system in the country, as well as the Decree on the establishment of Azerbaijan's Food Security Agency.

Academician-secretary of ANAS also spoke about world experience in this field and noted that the laboratory of food chemistry operates in Russian Academy of Sciences and scientific-theoretical researches are carried out.

Academician R.Aliguliyev emphasized the necessity of ensuring high level of food security, noting that special tasks were put in front of scientists and specialists working in the field of chemistry.
