Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS Institute of Physics  held Olympiad in Physics among schoolchildren of the 10th grade.

25 pupils from the Physics-mathematics-based lyceum under the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, lyceum of young talents, physics-based lyceum, mathematics and computer science, educational complex #132-134 of the Sabail district, school after academician Zarifa Aliyeva, Secondary school # 225 of Yasamal district and other educational institutions.

Deputy Director for scientific affairs of the Institute, academician Javad Abdinov noted that, that the Olympiad is held with the purpose of increasing the interest of schoolchildren in science and testing their knowledge.

Then chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS, Ph.D in Physics Gafil Damirov stressed that, questions were compiled by scientists of the Institute, who have pedagogical experience. He noted that, the winners of the Olympiad will be awarded with prizes and diplomas of I, II, III degrees.

Then, the Olympiad was launched.
