President of the National Academy of Sciences academician Akif Alizadeh held meeting with the delegation of the Mongolia Academy of Sciences, led by its President, Professor Dugeriy Ragdal.
Academician Akif Alizadeh informed the guests on the history of the establishment and the main directions of activity of the institution and noted that, Academy established in 1945, made a significant contribution to the development of science, training of highly qualified personnel and the economic growth of the republic. Akif Alizadeh said: "Today, Academy go into a new stage of development, conducts research in the priority areas of world science, establishes cooperation with the world's leading scientific centers. Created fundamentally new institutions, including the institutions of the history of science, Caucasology".
In his turn, President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences Dugeriy Ragdal spoke about the organization he directed, noted that, in the Academy created in 1961, research is conducted in a variety of fields, cooperation with a number of scientific centers of the world is established. The scientist noted that, he was interested in establishing and developing scientific contacts with Azerbaijani scientists and expressed his hope in supporting his initiative on the part of academician Akif Alizadeh.
ANAS vice-president, academician Isa Habibbeyli also spoke at the meeting. He stressed the expediency of conducting joint researches between the two structures in the field of humanities, touched upon the need to exchange experience in the field of literature, archeology.
In conclusion, was signed an agreement on scientific cooperation between the two academies. The document was signed by academician Akif Alizadeh and Professor Dugerin Ragdal.
The meeting was also attended by ANAS vice-president, academician Dilgam Tagiyev, heads of offices and departments of the Presidium Administration Esmira Alirzaeva, Zulfugar Farzaliyev and Binyamin Seyidov.
The guests also visited the Institute of Catalysis of Inorganic Chemistry after academician Murtuza Nagiev and the ANAS Park of High Technologies.
