Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

In our country the agrarian sector has entered a new stage of development and socio-economic indicators have increased in this area.

Agriculture Minister Inam Karimov said during the speech at the General Meeting of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.

The minister said that the agricultural sector plays an important role in addressing the country's problems, especially in the employment in the regions. Provision of citizens with quality agricultural products, prevention of currency flow from the country is one of the main tasks. There are three main principles in front of the Ministry. These are close proximity with peasants and farmers, achieving good governance in agriculture and implementing innovations.

Inam Karimov informed that currently the ministry is developing its activities in five key areas. Improving the activities of Azerbaijan State Agrarian University and studying international experience is one of the main directions. Mobilizing scientific resources makes possible achieving the solution of problems in the agrarian sphere, the speaker underlined.
