Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Recently, at the meeting held by the Presidium of the International Academy of Ecology and Life Protection Sciences together with the UN Department of Public Information, the acad. Head of Ecotoxicology Laboratory at the Institute of Physiology named after Abdulla Garayev, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Grigory Palatnikov was elected as a full member of the Academy.

The main basis of G.Palatnikov’s works, is the study of the environmental protection, including the influence of oil contamination on the central nervous system and behavior of fish.

It should be noted that the International Academy of Ecology and Life Protection Sciences was established in 1995 to coordinate the activities of scientists and specialists involved in the solution of problems in the field of environmental ecology and protection. World-renowned academics such as Zhores Alferov, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn (Nobel Prize laureates), Valentina Tereshkova, Mikhail Piotrovskiy are honorary members of the Academy.
