Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

An international scientific conference on "The Ottoman Empire in the First World War - Azerbaijan Relations and the Caucasus Islamic Army" will be held in Baku on September 13-16, organized by the Institute of History of ANAS and Turkish Ataturk Research Center.

The conference devoted to the 100th anniversary of the liberation of Baku from Dashnak-Bolshevik occupation is to held in accordance with President Ilham Aliyev's Decree "On the 100th Anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic" and "Declaration on the Year of the Azerbaijani Democratic Republic in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2018".

About 100 reports from scientists from Azerbaijan, Turkey and other countries of the world are expected to be heard at the conference.

Let's remind, that the Azerbaijani and Turkish troops fought against Dashnak-Bolshevik troops in 1918. The prominent military officer Aliaga Shikhlinski has repeatedly crossed the front line to organize the combat operations of the Azerbaijani troops and volunteers in the Caucasus Army.
