A member of the Institute of Environmental Analysis Methodology of the National Research Council (CNR) of Italy, Professor Luciano Telska visited the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of ANAS.

The aim was to discuss the research project on the topic "Assessment of seismic hazard and study of the seismic effect in a water barn on the territory of Mingachevir (Azerbaijan)".

Project leaders are Academician-Secretary of the Division of Earth Sciences of ANAS, academician Fakhraddin Kadirov and L.Telescadr.

During the meeting, the work plan was discussed, as well as the results of fractal and spectral analysis of the GPS station data around the Mingachevir barn. In addition, an exchange of views took place on a seminar for young scientists planned to be held in Italy on interpretation of methods and analysis of sequences obtained by monitoring geophysical spheres.

It should be noted that the above project became the winner in the contest in 2017 announced by ANAS in conjunction with CNR. Employees of the Republican Center of the Seismological Service of ANAS also take part in the project.
