Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

According to the solution of Academic Council of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS I volume of the book “Folklore Samples of Guba-Shabra” is published.

The book includes folklore samples collected in Guba-Shabran region (Guba, Siyazan, Shabran, Sheki and Hussar). Editor of the book is a PhD in philology Tahir Orujov; compilers are Professor Mamed Aliyev and PhD in philology Alekperli Aziz. In the book are presented such types of folklore samples as witchcraft, wedding traditions, praise, curse, beliefs, interpretation of dreams, proverbs, Bayati, lullabies, legends, anecdotes, stories, epics, ashug poems and etc.
