The Shemakha Astrophysical Observatory (ShAO) held a meeting with a delegation led by the chairman of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS), academician Julian Revalsky.
ShAO Director, Corresponding Member of ANAS Namig Jalilov told about the history of the institution, the research work carried out at the observatory, international relations and the possibilities of observing telescopes.
Then, the guests got acquainted with the laboratories of Nasreddin Tusi and the planets, the Museum of Astronomy and the 2-meter telescope. They were informed about modern devices installed on this telescope.
The Chairman of BAS highly appreciated the innovative conditions created at the observatory and the achievements, expressed confidence that scientific relations will develop in the relevant areas.
