Director of the Institute of Genetic Resources, Dr of Agricultural Sciences Zeynal Alekparov met with the head of Genomics Department, Professor of China Agricultural University at the Institute of Genetic Resources.

The aim of the meeting was the study of genetic diversity of grains and their wild relatives , as well as genomics, cooperation in biotechnology and bioinformatics .

During the event, the genetic diversity of cereal grains , resistance to rust disease , terminal heat stress resistance , and collaborative research in genomic sequence , opportunities to participate in international projects and expeditions and other issues were discussed.

The guest got acquainted with Genomics Laboratory newly established within the Department of Biotechnology.
