Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

In 2019International Astronomical Union celebrates the 100th anniversary and astronomical discoveries, which have shaped science, technology and culture over the past period.

The focus of the festivities will be on astronomy as an important tool in education, development and diplomacy.

Within the framework of the “100 Astronomy Hours” event organized by the support of the ANAS Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory, Tusi-Bohm Planetarium, the Center for Children and Youth Development of the Ministry of Education and Azerspase will be held an “open doors” days, a “Space suit” competition and and night sky observation.

It should be noted that, during the year it is planned to hold events on "Women and Girls in Astronomy", "Einstein School" and "Dark Sky for All".
