The head of Department of ecobotany and systematization of ANAS Institute of Genetic Resources, Doctor of Biological Sciences Aydin Askerov and staff of department conducted researches in Qakh, and also at the territory of State Nature Reserve in Ilisu. During expedition the plant cover of the reserve and its floristic structure was studied, and also materials on rich gerbarny, seed and on germinal to plasmas are collected. During expedition information on ecobotanical features and on a condition of population of rare and endangered species of plants of Azerbaijan which has got to “Red List” was also collected. During the researchers conducted on forest, subalpine and Alpine zones, areas of some types of these zones were defined. During researches gerbarny examples of breeds of Medicago, Vicia, Lathyrus, Lotus, Coronilla, Trifolium and subalpine elements Gentiana, Senecio, Heracleum, Onosma, Lappula, Centaurea, Chenopodium, Astragalus, Hordeum, Bromus, Orthurus, Asplenium, Polypodium,Campanula and valuable medicinal plant Origanum, Hypericum, Thymus, Digitalis, Stachys, Salvia, Verbascum.

The above gerbarny materials will be transferred to gerbarny fund of institute, seed materials - National Genbank, and for reproduction - certain laboratories.
