Ganja Division celebrated Science Day

On March 27, President Ilham Aliyev signed an Order on Science Day in Azerbaijan on March 9, 2018. This date is of special importance for the country as it coincides with the moment when the ANAS was founded.

Science Day was widely celebrated in Ganja Division of ANAS. The scientific-practical conference on this occasion has been devoted to the scientific results of the Western region in recent years and an exhibition of scientific achievements has been opened.

Head of Ganja Division, Academician Fuad Aliyev informed about the importance of the establishment of "Science Day" by the head of the country, the current scientific potential of the city and responsibilities of the President in response to the attention and care.

The conference covered research and prospects in the field of agrarian science in the region, scientific research works and their application in the field of bioresources, thinkers and classics of the Western region, historical research in Ganja, ecologically balanced and other topical issues of the region.

An exhibition of scientific achievements dedicated to the many years of scientific achievements has also been presented to the conference participants.

At the stand of the Institute of Humanitarian Studies were presented books "Anthology of Azerbaijani folklore - IX volumes", "I.II, III volumes of anthology of Ganja folklore", "Ganja traditions". The books "The poetics of love epics of Azerbaijan" and "The image of Khidir Nebi in Azerbaijani folklore" are also exhibited.

Scientists, distinguished by their academic activity in recent years, winners of the "Most active female scientist of the year" and "The most active young researcher of the year" were awarded Honorary Diplomas and valuable memorial gifts.

In the end, on behalf of conference participants, the appeal was put forward the President of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh.
