Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

A meeting with Western Azerbaijanis was held in Ordubad district within the festival-congress “The Return to Western Azerbaijan” held in Nakhchivan rector of Nakhchivan State University, docent Elbrus Isayev, president of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbeyli, head of Ordubad District Executive Power Rajab Rahimli, chairman of the Western Azerbaijan Community Aziz Alakbarli and other state officials, parliamentarians, scientists, public and mass media representatives participated in the meeting. 

The participants of the meeting visited the territory of Kotam village of Ordubad district which is considered to be one of the main points of the Zangezur corridor which unites Nakhchivan with other territories of the country and also viewed Salammalik station, took few symbolic steps towards the corridor and were photographed for memory.

The participants of the meeting spoke about the Concept of Return to Western Azerbaijan of the President of the country and the significance of the festival-congress.
