Awarding ceremony of knowledge contest winners dedicated to BSU 100th anniversary held

Within the framework of the “SABAH” group project of the Ministry of Education, Baku State University (BSU) held ceremony of awarding the winners of the intellectual competition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the university.

Speaking after the demonstration of documentary, devoted to the anniversary of BSU, Rector Elchin Babayev told on the significance of this competition, held in February-April of this year in the field of information technology, pedagogy and mathematics.

Then, the winners were awarded. Students of BSU Suleyman Bagirov, Rubaba Huseynova and Aygul Bayramova awarded in mathematics. Marzia Azmammadova (BSU), Cherkez Kazimov (Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University) and Flora Bayramova (BSU) were awarded for pedagogical knowledge. Suleyman Bagirov (BSU), Aigul Bayramova (BSU) and Murad Garashov (Azerbaijan State Economy University) were awarded in the field of computer science. The winners of the 2nd and 3rd places in mathematics were awarded by the rector of BSU, Ph.D. in Physical and mathematical sciences Elchin Babayev, academician-secretary of ANAS, Director of ANAS Institute of Information Technology, academician Rasim Alguliev, the 1st place winners were awarded by Deputy Minister Firudin Gurbanov.

The event was attended by leaders and staff of the Ministry of Education, deputies and rectors of higher educational institutions, experts in the field of education, professors and teachers of the BSU, employees of SABAH, students and volunteers.

It should be noted that, the aim of the “SABAH” group project is to promote the scientific and creative potential of “SABAH students”, to integrate them into their education and knowledge, encourage scientific initiatives, and encourage research activities.
