Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Diana Hasanova, Director of the Museum of World Culture and Religion History of the Ministry of Culture of Dagestan, Russian Federation and Deputy Director Samila Najafova visited National Museum of Azerbaijan History (NMAH).

At the meeting with director of the museum, academician Naila Velikhanli, the guests were informed about the history of the enterprise, its activities and achievements. It was noted that the museum is located in the property of Azerbaijani millionaire, H.Z.Tagiyev, and will mark the 100th anniversary in 2020. Academician also talked about the new exposition hall and restoration work.

The sides also touched upon the history of cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Dagestan and stressed the importance of strengthening these ties.

Then, D. Hasanova and S.Najafova spoke about the activities of the museum. The guests also mentioned Azerbaijan as a tolerant country with multicultural values and stressed that Derbent is a city where different civilizations meet.

At the event, issues such as expansion of future cooperation, holding intercultural exhibitions and exchange of experience were discussed.

Then the guests got acquainted with the exposition halls of the museum.

Finally, the guests were given NMAH editions.
