Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

On May 10, the next meeting of the Department of Social Sciences was held at the Main Building of ANAS. Academician-secretary of the department, academician Nargiz Akhundova, members of the division, heads of relevant scientific institutions, scientific secretaries and associates participated in the event.

Academician Nargiz Akhundova opened the meeting with introductory remarks and informed about the agenda issues.

First, scientific-organizational issues were considered. Proposals were made to the scientific institutions included in the division on the admission plan for doctoral studies and dissertation for 2019. After the discussion, the division made a relevant decision.

Then the decision was made on the publication of the book "Law and Human Rights" at the Institute of Law and Human Rights of ANAS, as well as the publication of the book "Azerbaijani science in Soviet state and Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union decisions (1920-1991)".

Particular changes have been made in the structure of the National Museum of Azerbaijan History of ANAS and the results of the competition held at the Institute of Economics of ANAS were approved. At the same time, a number of personnel issues were considered.

Finally, the current issues were discussed. Decisions of the ANAS on awarding to the Honorary Order of the group of employees on the 60th jubilee of the Institute of Oriental Studies named after Z.Bunyadov, as well as the Action Plan on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Ahmed bey Agaogluwere also made.
