A diploma awarding ceremony was held at the National Museum of Azerbaijan History for the participants and organizers of the conference titled “Yusif Mammadaliyev: Science. Heritage. Innovations.” First, a video dedicated to the international conference of the same title, held in Baku in December 2025, was presented.
Speaking afterwards, the Executive Director of the Academician Yusif Mammadaliyev Foundation, Ramil Abbekirov, discussed the main outcomes of the international conference, as well as new projects aimed at studying and promoting the scientific heritage of the world-renowned Azerbaijani scientist.
At the ceremony, the President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbayli, the Deputy Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Firudin Gurbanov, and the President of the Academician Yusif Mammadaliyev Foundation, Sevda Mammadaliyeva, emphasized the significance of the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on holding the 120th anniversary of Academician Yusif Mammadaliyev. They noted that the events organized within the framework of the anniversary have created new opportunities for studying the scientist’s legacy and reassessing it in the context of modern perspectives.
Farhad Jabbarov, Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs of the Museum and Doctor of Historical Sciences, informed the participants about the catalog “The Heritage of Yusif Mammadaliyev,” published in 2025 based on the collection of the National Museum of Azerbaijan History.
At the end of the ceremony, diplomas were presented to individuals who contributed to the organization and holding of the 120th anniversary of Academician Yusif Mammadaliyev.
Among those awarded were also employees of ANAS.
