Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The Institute of Manuscripts named after M.Fuzuli of ANAS hosted a scientific session on the theme of "Jalil Mammadguluzadeh's life and creativityin manuscripts and documents" dedicated to the 150th anniversary of prominent Azerbaijan dramatist and publicist Jalil Mammadguluzadeh.

The event was opened by the academician-secretary of the ANAS Department of Humanitarian Sciences, Director of the Institute, academician Teymur Karimli and said that the session was held under the Presidential Decree dated January 17, 2019 "On the celebration of the 150th anniversary of Jalil Mammadguluzade". Talking about the role of literary man in the formation of Azerbaijani literary-public opinion, T. Kerimli said that Mirza Jalil, who worked for the promotion of his country and nation through the Molla Nasreddin journal, was also a world-class intellectual with his economic views.

Then, the deputy director of the Institute for Scientific Affairs, Doctor of Philology, Professor Pasha Karimov PhD on philology Azizaga Najafov, PhD on philology Naila Samedova, PhD on philology Afag Aliyeva made reports at the event.
