I Eurasian conference on "Minimization of natural and technogenic risks and innovations" was held in Baku jointly organized by Institute of Geography named after H.Aliyev, Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS and AMIR Technological Service LLC.

The aim of the event is to exchange ideas and experiences for minimizing problems in the field of natural and technogenic risks in Eurasia, to develop proposals, to develop cooperation and mutual understanding with research institutions and academic institutions engaged in energy issues, as well as to support UN 2015-2030 the “Millennium Challenge” on Reduction Program to reduce the risk of disaster and the Senday (Japan) program.

Director of the Institute of Geography, academician Ramiz Mammadov delivered a report on "Natural disasters and GIS mapping in the mountainous regions of Azerbaijan", PhD in geography Natavan Jafarova, "Application of space technologies in the minimization of natural and technogenic disasters".
