Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

An international scientific conference on "Modern problems of education and Azerbaijan science" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Gazakh Teachers' Seminary was held.

The conference, organized by the Executive Power of the Gazakh region, Azerbaijan University of Languages, ANAS Folklore Institute of and the Gazakh branch of Baku State University was held as part of the Order of AR President Ilham Aliyev on the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Gazakh Teachers' Seminary at the state level.

Director of ANAS Institute of Folklore, academician Mukhtar Imanov noted that, the seminary is the successor to the Gori seminary, which formed such prominent personalities of Azerbaijan as Uzeir Hajibeyli, Jalil Mammadguluzade, Nariman Narimanov, Muslim Magomayev, Firidun bey Kocharli.

Director of the Gazakh branch of Baku State University, PhD in philosophy, associate professor Arif Rustamov said that, the graduates of the Gazakh teacher's seminary are Samad Vurgun, Mehdi Huseyn, Osman Saryvelli, Ismail Shikhly and Seyfulla Shamilov.

The representative of the Azerbaijan University of Languages, Associate Professor Misgar Mammadov spoke about the modern problems of education and science in Azerbaijan.

In the plenary sessions held in eight sections, 67 reports were delivered and discussed.
