Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The first volume of "History of Azerbaijani Literature" book was published by the Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi ANAS.

The first volume covers the "Oral Folk Literature" section. The main editorial board of the book includes ANAS President, academician Akif Alizadeh (Chairman), Vice-president of ANAS, Director of the Institute of Literature, academician Isa Habibbayli (Editor-in-Chief), Academic-Secretary of the Division of Humanitarian Sciences, academician Teymur Karimli and Head of the Department of the Institute of Literature, Professor Maharram Gasimli.

The book begins with an article by academician Isa Habibbayli "Azerbaijani literature: the concept of periodization and stages of development."
