International scientific journal Applied and Computational Mathematics ranks 10th among 254 international publications

Agency Clarivate Analytics (previously Thomson Reuters), one of the most authoritative scientific and analytical data bases in the world, has published its annual report for 2019. The report reflects information on changes in the agency's rating over the past period, the dynamics of the impact factor of its scientific journals.

The international scientific journal Applied and Computational Mathematics, jointly founded by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan and Baku State University, ranked the 10th place among 254 international publications.

According to the Agency’s latest data, the coefficient of impact of the international scientific journal Applied and Computational Mathematics published in Azerbaijan increased from 2.365 to 3.16, i.e. the journal has jumped from 19th to 10th place.

It should be noted that this indicator (10th place) is the fourth among European countries, and the first place in the former Soviet Union. Up to now, 44 issues of the journal have been published, on the pages of which some 500 articles from more than 50 countries have been published.

The Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Academician Fikret Aliyev said that the journal, published by Research Institute of Applied Mathematics of Baku State University with the support of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies (MTCHT), is the first and the only Azerbaijani scientific publication, which in 2008 was included in the expanded list of Thomson Reuters.

The journal publishes scientific articles relating to various fields of applied mathematics and received high reviews.
