Today, the well-known philosopher, vice-president of the Association of Asian Philosophy, the head of the Islamic Philosophy Department of the Institute of Philosophy, correspondent member of ANAS Konul Bunyadzade is 45.

Konul Bunyadzadeh was born on July 2, 1974 in the Zod village of Goycha, Western Azerbaijan. She received secondary education in 1981-1991 in the school № 2 named after A.S.Pushkin in Dashkesen district. In 1992 he entered the Arabian Department of Oriental Studies faculty of Baku State University and in 1997 graduated with honors. In the same year, he was employed as a senior laboratory assistant at the Institute of Philosophy, Sociology and Law of ANAS, and was also admitted to the dissertation of the same institution. He is currently the head of the Philosophy Department of the Philosophy Institute.

She defended PhD thesis in 2002 and in 2007 defended Doctoral dissertation. In 2017, she was elected as a corresponding member of ANAS.

Konul Buyadzadeh's philosophical work is a re-examination of Sufism philosophy in contemporary Western philosophy. She studied the great Sufi Junayd Baghdadi, Mansur Sollacin, Serraj Tusin and others. K.Bunyadzadeh has come up with a number of new ideas in the work, the most important of which is to compare the intuition concept used in Islamic philosophy and Islamic philosophy with the teachings of irrationalism and intuitionism in Western philosophy and to discover their general and distinctive features.

Five philosophers have been trained under her leadership. She is the author of 10 monographs, 2 translation books. In general, more than 200 articles of hers (54 abroad) have been published in Turkey, France, Belgium, Italy, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Algeria, China and etc.

She is a chairman of Editorial Board of “Metaphysics” journal, member of International Phenomenology Institute, the New York Academy, American Philosophy Association, Association of Women Philosophers under UNESCO and etc.
