The first issue of the journal "Turkish Language Studies", which is the journal of Turkic Language Department of the Institute of Linguistics after Nasimi, was published. Scientific editor of the journal is Elchin Ibrahimov, Head of the Department of Turkic Languages, Ph.D. in Philology.

Editorial staff includes academicians Kamal Abdullayev, Isa Habibbeyli, Mohsun Nagisoylu, professors Elbrus Azizov, Asker Rasulov, Buludkhan Khalilov, Rufat Rustamov.

Ruhi Bagdadi's phonetic features of the Divan language, existing problems in the creation of the common language of communication and their elimination, the loss of national identity, Turkic speaking peoples in modern Turkic languages, the compelling compound sentence in the language of Oguzname the scientific style of which is reflected in the articles on historical subjects.

The main purpose of the journal "Turkic Language Studies" is to define a wide range of actual topics related to similar and different aspects of the languages ​​of the Turkic peoples separated from each other due to certain reasons in their development history, to watch the phonetic, lexical and grammatical structure of modern Turkic languages, to give direction to research on topics that are of international importance.
