Works devoted to the Iravan Khanate in Spanish and Arabic published

ANAS Institute of History published four works devoted to the history of the Iravan Khanate in Spanish and Arabic.

The brochure “The Iravan Khanate: The Khan Palace Destroyed by Armenian Vandals”, “The Iravan Khanate: Mosques of Iravan, destroyed by Armenian vandals” is by historian Nazim Mustafa.

It is noted that, in the paintings by Armenian artists Martiros Saryan, Setrak Arakelyan, Anush Sahinyan and Gabriel Gurjanyan in the 1920s and 1930s, the Blue Mosque is embodied as a symbol of Iravan. Now, Armenian officials represent the Blue Mosque as a “Persian Mosque” and cannot offer foreign visitors more than one historical monument over than 200 years old and relating to the history of Armenians.

The author of the brochures "The Iravan Khanate: The Iravan fortress is a symbol of heroism" and "The Chukhursad Rulers and Iravan Khans" is a historian Güntekin Najafli.

According to the works, the Iravan fortress was built at the beginning of the 16th century by Safavid commander Ravangul Khan by the instructions of the founder of the Azerbaijan Safavid state Shah Ismail Khatai. Iravan Khanate ruled by Khans, representatives of the local Turkic tribes of Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that, earlier editions devoted to the history of the Iravan Khanate were published in English, Russian, Armenian and Persian.
